Guitar Program Christmas Concert

Parents, family members, friends, and special guests enjoyed a variety of classical guitar tunes played by members of the beginner and advanced guitar classes, Flamenco Ensemble, Conjunto Sierreño, and Estudiantina.

Alina “AJ” Jasso college softball signing

San Benito High School senior Alina “AJ” Jasso recently signed her letter of intent to play softball next year at Temple College in Temple, Texas. The Lady Hound softball star’s attitude on the field, energy, and love of the game were among the many attributes that impressed Temple College head softball coach Kristen Zaleski.

Greyhound Football Banquet

During the San Benito Quarterback Club’s annual football banquet, players and coaches were publicly recognized for a remarkable 2018 season of Mighty Greyhound football. Under the leadership of Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Dan Gomez, the Varsity team rightfully earned the 32-6A Bi-District Championship, the 6A Division 1 Area Championship, and the 2018 Battle of the Arroyo win.

UIL Tri-Middle School Academic Meet

Shoes That Fit

“Shoes That Fit” representatives recently visited Fred Booth Elementary. Shoes That Fit, a non-profit organization that provides new shoes to low-income children, helps provide thousands of shoes for children nationwide. Locally, a total of 30 Fred Booth students received new shoes!

Greyhound Gift of Giving

The San Benito Greyhound baseball and Lady Hound softball teams hosted a very special “Gift of Giving” event at the Landrum Educational Complex. The athletes provided gifts and little snacks/pastries to a small group of families that needed a little extra magic for Christmas.

Stop the Bleed

The “Stop the Bleed” campaign is a districtwide safety initiative that trains civilian bystanders in bleeding control principles, including the use of tourniquets and wound packing. Bleeding control kits are now available at all campuses as a component of our emergency preparedness for the safety of our students and staff.
