STOPit Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is STOPit really anonymous?
STOPit is truly anonymous. San Benito CISD does not know the identity of the student submitting the report or message. At the student’s discretion, they may choose to voluntarily provide identifying information in the content of report or message.
 
2. How does the STOPit mobile app work? The STOPit app can be downloaded onto any mobile device through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Once the app is downloaded, students have access to anonymously submit a report and include details through text, screenshots and videos.  Reports are instantly received by assigned school administrators and the Director of Student Services who will then take appropriate actions. One benefit of the STOPit app is that it allows for two-way communication.  School administrators have the ability to confirm to the student that the report has been received and ask any necessary follow-up questions. The STOPit mobile app is available to students 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

3. What information does a student need to provide to use STOPit?
Once the STOPit app has been downloaded, students will be required to enter their unique school code. It is important to enter the correct code that corresponds their school to ensure any anonymous report that is made is delivered to the appropriate school personnel.

4. Who receives the reports that a student submit via STOPit?
Reports are received by assigned school administrators and the Director of Student Services.

5. Can STOPit be used by children under the age of 13?
The STOPit app may be used by children under the age of 13. If you have questions regarding usage of the app, you may contact the Director of Student Services.

6. What if my child does not have a mobile device?
Anonymous reports can be made via desktop computer by visiting https://appweb.stopitsolutions.com/login Simply enter the school access code and the appropriate school officials will be notified. 

7. Can a parent or teacher use the app to report incidents?
Parents and teachers can use the STOPit app to make a report by either downloading the app or visiting https://appweb.stopitsolutions.com/login on a desktop computer.
