San Benito CISD Management Review

During the June 21, 2016, special meeting of the San Benito CISD Board of Trustees, Trustees heard from the Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO) regarding the findings of an efficiency audit intended to enable the district to operate in a more efficient and effective manner.

San Benito CISD Superintendent of Schools Dr. Adrian Vega had previously received the Trustees’ support and approval in conducting a districtwide efficiency audit to provide a better understanding of the district’s current strengths and to help identify areas that need attention.

Having assessed the district’s processes and procedures, TASBO representative Rebecca Estrada presented the team’s management review summary and informed Trustees that the district is already making strides in addressing the needs assessed.

According to Estrada, the district’s initiative in developing a comprehensive five-year strategic plan was definitely a step in the right direction.

“The purpose of conducting the efficiency audit was to get a true picture of the state of the district. In doing so, the district now has a clear picture of the areas that need further support,” Vega explained.

“This information will lead to a stronger district and increased student achievement,” Vega added.
