The San Benito CISD Community Closet is a resource available to SBCISD students and their families. The Community Closet is located at 450 S. Dick Dowling Street, inside the Landrum Education Complex. The Community Closet is a service program supported by the generous donations from community members, SBCISD staff, and local business partners. Gently used clothing, school supplies, hygiene products, and other miscellaneous items are available for families.

Who can get clothes from the Clothing Closet?
Any student/family enrolled in San Benito CISD.

Do I need a referral?
No, referral is required.

How many times can a family visit the community closet?
Families may visit the Community Closet twice during the school year.  (One time per semester.)

What time is the community closet open?
The Community Closet is open during regular school days.

Monday - Friday

7:30am to 4:30pm

The times may change during district or department special events. 

Is there a limit on items available for each family member?
Each family member can have 3 tops and 3 bottoms.

1 Jacket and 1 pair of shoes per school year.

Other items that may be available include: 

• 3 pairs of new socks per family member
• 3 new underwear per family member
• 1 sweatshirt per family member
• 1 coat or 1 jacket per family member
• 1 pair of gently used shoes per family member

* As more items become available, the amount of items per family member may increase.
