The San Benito CISD Bilingual/ESL Programs emphasizes the mastery of the state’s curriculum and the English language through the child’s primary language and the instruction of English via ESL to allow students to reach full potential through equitable experiences which ensure that they become proficient in the English language according to federal regulations and state policy. Ultimately, students participating in the bilingual education program will have the opportunity to become bilingual, and bi-literate, and graduate fluency in both Spanish and English.
