FACE Department Goals

Goal 1. San Benito CISD Family and Community Engagement Department is determined to engage parents, families and the community, as partners, in providing students with a foundation that prepares them for 21st century educational experiences.

  • Objective 1. The district will make the parents, families, and the community aware of Title I Part A Parental requirements.
  • Objective 2. The district will provide district-wide events that help with building capacity and celebrate the utility of parents, families, and community partners in our schools. 
  • Objective 3. The district will provide parents, families, and the community with information on local, state, and federal academic and assessments standards of San Benito CISD students. 
  • Objective 4. The district will develop and utilize various methods of communication with parents, families, and the community. 
  • Objective 5. The district will promote the participation of parents, families, and the community in decision-making committees.

 

Goal 2. San Benito CISD Family and Community Engagement Department is supportive and committed to creating life-long learning opportunities for students, families, and the community.

  • Objective 1. The district will promote and provide life-long learning opportunities to students, parents, families, and the community to include Early Childhood Education, Pre-K through 12th grade Education, Post-Secondary Education, and Adult/Continued Education. 

 

Goal 3. San Benito CISD Family and Community Engagement Department will provide student, parent, family, and community services that support student academic achievement.

  • Objective 1. The district will implement McKinney Vento Homeless Program requirements for San Benito CISD students and their families. This will include providing training to SBCISD staff and promote MV Homeless awareness in the San Benito community. 
  • Objective 2. The district will promote the participation of parents/families of students in special education, migrant, bilingual, foster care, gifted and talented, and CTE programs. And, offer support services for San Benito CISD students that are determined at-risk to include discipline/behavior, attendance/truancy, economically disadvantaged, and academically challenged. 

 

Goal 4. San Benito CISD Family and Community Engagement Department will provide staff development and trainings that enhance department services.

  • Objective 1. The district will provide the Family and Community Engagement Department Staff training and professional development opportunities to enhance their skills when working with parents, families, and the community.
