NOTICE TO TEACHERS:
Teachers who received the SBCISD-issued, original 2003 Apple iBook G3 laptops (with SBCISD barcode #'s ranging from 14006-14494, 17286-17998, 18695-18773) will be eligible to receive a replacement after the following criteria is met:
- Completion of the state-required Texas STaR Chart through Instructional Tech. Dept. (x6416)
- Successful-completion certificate for the TPA from Instructional Tech. Dept.
- Must sign new "Laptop/Peripheral Checkout Agreement Form" contract (available online here).
- When called to pick up new McBook, please bring in old Apple iBook G3 for exchange.
Currently we have 50 new McBook laptops and when that supply is exhausted, we will order more. This exchange will be done on a first-come, first-served basis.
Certificates of completion and contracts may be faxed to Information Technology Dept., x6936. After all requirements are met, configuration of the new laptop will take 3-5 days.

UPDATE 12/01/09:
Teachers who received the SBCISD-issued, original Apple iBook G4 laptops will also be eligible to receive a replacement. Only iBook G4's with a processor speed of 800 MHz with memory of 128 MB or processor speed of 1.2 GHz with memory of 256 MB are eligible. To find out if you have a qualifying iBook G4 laptop, follow these steps:
1. go to the upper left-hand corner and click on the apple
2. on the pull down menu highlight "About this Mac" and enter/return
3. on the pop up window, check Processor and Memory.
If you have a qualifying iBook G4 laptop and would like a replacement, follow the criteria above.
